Large Scan Data Handling: Dynamic Disk Caching System.
Able to handle hundreds of millions of data points with the highest performance, rapidformXO is built from the ground up to minimize system resource use and maximize performance when processing massive data sets from the newest generation of 3D scanners. Using an advanced memory management system (Dynamic Disk Caching), rapidformXO dynamically allocates system memory during scan data processing operations. This highly optimized technology allows rapidformXO to shatter existing data handling barriers and handle virtually limitless amounts of 3D scan data. The software has been successfully tested to register multiple scans in excess of 300 million points on a dual 3 GHz Xeon PC with 2GB of RAM, and there is no theoretical limitation to the number of points that rapidformXO can process.



Performance & Accuracy: True Parallel & Multi-threaded Processing.
With the highest performance and most accurate data processing with cutting edge algorithms, rapidformXO truly supports multi-CPU systems. rapidformXO's geometric algorithms are designed to fully utilize several CPUs simultaneously. Benchmark test results reveal that it is faster and offers more accurate scan registration than any other popular 3D scanning software. In general, rapidformXO is 3-4 times as fast and 4-5 times more accurate than comparable applications. In a typical real world application test, rapidformXO was able to import, triangulate, register, merge, and decimate a 100 million point data set in less than 40 minutes. rapidformXO's advanced registration algorithms minimize overall error distribution among overlapped scan shots and preserve original crease edges after merging most accurately.

Leading Edge User Interface: Intuitive, Easy-to-Use GUI.
Flexible, dynamic self-learnable interface. One of most distinctive features that users will quickly notice when using rapidformXO is the enhancement in the user interface for the ease-of-use of the software. Using logical selection and entity trees, rapidformXO presents the user with all the information he needs concisely and unobtrusively. Using state-of-the-art 3D viewport based menu trees, the software eliminates the need for pop-up windows and minimizes user operations needed to run a command. rapidformXO Scan allows users to clean up data from scanners, align multiple point clouds to each other using our industry-leading registration algorithms, triangulate the point clouds into polygon meshes and merge multiple scan shots into one complete 3D model. rapidformXO Scan is completely compatible with rapidform2006 systems, and polygon mesh models generated by rapidformXO can be transferred to rapidform2006 on-the-fly for downstream data processing such as polygon optimization, CAD data generation and inspection. The functionalities of rapidformXO Scan are similar to the Scan Workbench fund in rapidform2006, but rapidformXO Scan is a totally new product with significant increases in speed, data handling and accuracy.

q   What is the difference between XO Scan and XO Verifier, and what are they used for?
a   XO scan allows you to collect and process large point cloud data, XO verifier allows systematic inspection processing using dense point cloud data. XO Scan will take a scanned point cloud and re-purpose it for use in a wide variety of applications. XO Verifier gives you highly accuracte comparisions between scanned point clouds and CAD models.
q   Can I reverse engineer using either of these packages, or produce CAD drawings?
a   No but INUS technology is just about to release XO Redesign which will allow you to extract design features, draw surfaces on and produce solids from 3d scan data. The worlds first Scan-to-CAD software.
q   Is there an academic discount?
