3D Optical Digitizers
Patterned light is projected onto subjects; deformation is recorded by an off-set camera. Triangulation calculates a 3D mesh. Fast, accurate and adaptable for human portraiture.
3D Laser Scanners
A laser line moves over subjects' surfaces; an off-set camera records deformation. Triangulation calculates a 3D mesh. Slower, but higher accuracy enabled for static objects.
3D Mechanical Digitizers
Mechanical arms physically probe objects, guided by the user; points are recorded on the surface of subjects. Intuitive but slow. Unsuitable for delicate objects.
3D Scanning software
View, edit and export scan data efficiently and accurately. Triangulation, registration and merging algorithms, polygon editing, CAD conversion, model export for web viewing.

The Cyclops is InSpeck’s newest 3D camera
dedicated to the commercial market. If you are an entrepreneur wanting to start
your own 3D crystal engraving & 3D Stereo Portrait business, you will want
to get Cyclops. Built on more than 12 years of solid expertise in the 3D industry,
Cyclops will help you deliver the high quality results your customers deserve.
Every aspect of this 3D camera has been designed to help you achieve the best
quality results quickly and easily. See for yourself why Cyclops is more than
meets the eye.
Key Features:
Fully automatic: No more fiddling around
with complicated software functions. Take a 3D photo and be ready to engrave
in just a few seconds! A choice of a few different cube sizes will be generated
automatically.
Software included: When you purchase
a Cyclops 3D camera, it comes with its own operating software that enables
you to take 3D pictures of your subjects. What’s more, the software
also offers some limited crystal engraving functions that will enable you
to create your very own photo-crystals.
No experience required: Cyclops was
designed with ease-of-use and performance in mind. Its “fully automatic”
feature makes it one of the most accessible 3D cameras on the market today.
Practical new design: You can use the
Cyclops with any standard tripod or place it upright on any tabletop surface
thanks to its tripod-like
stand, included with every Cyclops purchase.
Portability: Cyclops travels well. It
weighs just a few pounds and its compact size makes it very portable.
Commercial flexibility: The Cyclops
can be used for various applications like 3D crystal engraving and 3D Stereo
Portraits. This means that using only the Cyclops, you can offer different
products to your customers.
Speed: Cyclops is fast. A fraction of
a second is all it needs to take a 3D photo.
Group photo: The field of view of the
Cyclops enables you to take 3D photos of 2 (and sometimes three) people
in a single shot.
Affordability: The Cyclops is the InSpeck’s
lowest-priced camera to date. Its price easily beats the competition.
Safety: InSpeck’s technology is
based on harmless white halogen light, which makes the Cyclops perfectly
eye-safe.
Sub-Surface Laser Engraving (SSLE) Application
The Cyclops is a 3D camera created specifically
for SSLE. It’s fully automatic and designed to be easy to use by someone
with no 3D experience. It can capture 1 or 2 people in a single 3D picture and
does so in a fraction of a second. The Cyclops comes equipped with its own application
software called PCS (Photo-Crystal Software), which will enable you to create
your own photo-crystals. It’s also the most portable 3D camera on the
market and can be attached to virtually any tripod or if you prefer, use the
special base to stand the Cyclops upright on any tabletop surface.
Pros: Fully automatic; fast; affordable; captures hair;
can scan two people at the same time; ultra light; portable; small footprint.
Cons: Cannot do half body shots.
PCS Software:
PCS (Photo-Crystal Software) comes bundled
with, and is exclusive to, the Cyclops. PCS will enable you to take 3D pictures
of your subjects. The software will generate a point cloud image ready for engraving
and display it onscreen. This way, you can judge if the result is satisfactory
before moving on to the engraving step. PCS can be used for a limited choice
of crystal shapes and sizes. You will also be able to export your data to various
formats including ASC, DXF, CAD and OBJ making it compatible with virtually
every laser-engraving machine on the market. All these advantages make the Cyclops
and PCS the perfect package for novice users with limited experience and needs.
